Customer service 'key for regional airlines'

"Regional airlines must improve the way they treat customers in order to thrive, according to the managing director of Plymouth-based Air Southwest. Writing in the weekly newsletter An Executive Review of Business Travel, Peter Davies said that the sector needed to focus on customer service in order to survive and grow. Citing EasyJet's decision to cut 360 flights a week from Luton and the East Midlands and Ryanair's announcement of a 30 per cent winter reduction at Stansted and an almost complete withdrawal from Manchester, Mr Davies said that regional airlines could take action to fight back against a downturn in the global aviation industry."
