Lauda hits out at rival SkyEurope

"FlyNiki boss Niki Lauda has revealed he approached struggling competitor SkyEurope about possible cooperation two weeks ago. Speaking to Kurier newspaper for its Saturday edition, Lauda said he had contacted SkyEurope’s main shareholder, York, an American hedge fund, to discuss participation of FlyNiki in SkyEurope or cooperation between the two discount airlines.
"The possible deal failed because of their arrogance," Lauda said. "They have no idea about the aviation business and prefer to let the firm go bankrupt instead of admitting their mistakes," he continued."
